Competition or co-operation?

7/11/2014

There are many good organisations providing services related to creative thinking.  When thinking about which one to choose, I find it interesting, as the topic of creativity evokes changes, innovation, diversity... so I believe that it is good to try different organisations so that even though some of the content can be similar, on the other hand it can be more stimulating to learn different techniques, different ways of doing things by different people who enjoy creative thinking.

It reminds me when I have read many different books about creativity.  Many of them explain similar things, but always you can find some small change, that stimulates you to appreciate some "improvement" in your interpretation of the topic, in the links to other topics.  Some times the books can explain the things in different ways, with different examples that can be better related to your experience and understanding.  Some can be more simple or more complex.  Some can be with bigger or smaller fonts, etc.

That is why I encourage people to try different things.  When you are used to use thinking tools, you can become comfortable using the same tools, but it can be more "creative" to use other tools that you don´t find comfortable to use.

Changing routines it is a way to encourage creativity, as you are discovering new things, new knowledge, new people, new places, new timetables, new challenges...

So, instead of trying to promote myself, I want to present here a list of other providers who can help you to benefit from your creativity.  You can use them not only as a competition (who provide the cheapest or more cos-effective sessions), but as co-operation (what can different providers add to what I learn from all of them).

Here is the list of providers.  If anybody knows any other provider, please let me know so I can include it.

MANUEL LUQUE, DIRECTOR GENERAL DE CAMP

In 1985, Manuel Luque took a company who was nearly in bankruptcy (CAMP, cleaning products), at that time owing approx.  66.1 millions of euros and in 1989 was sold for approx. 216.4 millions of euros.

Among the things Manuel Luque did was the following advert that became extremely popular as it was a radical change comparing with the other adverts about cleaning products.  In the advert, he introduces himself as Director General (Chief Executive Officer - CEO), explaining that he is proud of the product, and how they have been improving the product during the last 20 years.

The main message at the end of the advert states: "Busque, compare y si encuentra algo mejor, cómprelo", what means something like "Seek, compare and if you find something better, buy it!"

LUIS BASSAT

When Luis Bassat started his advertising agency, one of his success was the publicity created for "Filomatic" razor blades (produced by his father´s company), that later would be sold to Gillette.
